The National Reconnaissance Office’s (NRO) Disadvantage Business Office (DBO) is seeking a dynamic Senior Consultant who not only excels in training and curriculum development but also brings a unique blend of expertise in IC security, government marketing, and public affairs. In this pivotal role, you'll be the trusted bridge between the agency and the small business community—guiding them through the intricate “how to do business” process and opening doors to new opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Engage , Educate, and Empower : Serve as the primary liaison between the agency and small business owners, entrepreneurs, and organizations. Develop and deliver tailored presentations, training sessions, and educational materials that demystify government processes.
- Drive Government Marketing and Public Affairs : Craft compelling messaging and manage public relations to boost the visibility of the NRO’s initiatives. Use your expertise to foster robust relationships and engage effectively with key stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing, proactive support : Both virtually and in person—to build trust and guide businesses through every step of engagement.
- Research, Analyze, and Innovate : Conduct market research to identify trends and challenges faced by small businesses. Utilize your technical skills with tools like MS Excel and PowerPoint to analyze data, create insightful visuals, and present compelling narratives that drive strategic decision-making.
- Build Relationships and Lead with Vision : Cultivate strong, respectful relationships through proactive outreach, networking, and follow-up. Offer creative solutions and strategic guidance to help small businesses overcome challenges and grow. Mentor clients to build confidence and ensure they are well-equipped to navigate the government contracting landscape.
- Shape the Future of Security and Policy : Leverage your deep understanding of security frameworks to help design and influence FCL, PCL, and PISA-type policies. Ensure that our agency remains at the cutting edge of secure and effective operations.
