The ASI Group of companies is currently searching for Two Project Managers to join our growing Remotely Operated Vehicle and Hydrographic Survey Services Division. These positions will report to the Director of Project Management and be responsible for managing all aspects of a project’s lifecycle. We require Project Managers to be exceptional leaders that are focused on providing the highest standards of quality, job-place safety and customer service.
ASI is a global provider of underwater inspection, maintenance and repair services, most often required by government, power generation, chemical manufacture and marine transportation. ASI specializes in underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) operations, hydrographic surveys, commercial diving, hyperbaric tunneling support, and invasive mussel monitoring & control. Since being founded in 1987, ASI has arrived at our core service offerings through alignment with industry needs and entrepreneurial culture. We have become an industry leader by delivering innovative solutions to meet a variety of client objectives. These solutions are based on past operating experiences, along with the use of advanced technologies and methods, some of which are custom and/or proprietary.
Responsibilities of the Position:
· Preparation of site-specific work plans for project execution, health, job site safety and environmental.
· Provide direction and supervision of multi-disciplinary project teams
· Client interaction (virtually and in-person)
· Monitor fiscal performance and progress of projects to meet goals
· Cost estimation, proposal preparation and peer review of the same
· Contract review and negotiation
· Project invoicing and closeouts
· Enforcement of corporate and operational policies and procedures.
· Collaboration with peers, project teams and corporate leadership, as required.
· Input data into the corporate Client Resource Management (CRM) system
· Business development through attendance at select conferences / tradeshows, virtual presentations and in-person presentations
· Travel, approximately 25% per year for project operations and business development.
Qualifications / Skills:
· Minimum 5 years of work experience working in project management
· Intermediate competency with Microsoft software
· Basic CAD (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation) competency
· Exceptional organizational and time management skills
· Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written
· Public speaking
· Project planning
Education, Experience, and Licensing:
· Post-secondary education in civil/structural engineering, ocean engineering, mechanical engineering, land surveying or hydrography (preference given to Bachelor’s degree or higher)
· Professional registration and/or certification preferred (PE, PLS, Hydrographer)
· Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, is preferred, but not required
· Driver’s license
· Passport (USA)
· Ability to obtain foreign work authorizations (i.e. work visa)
· Underwater service experience, is preferred but not mandatory
These are full-time and salaried positions based on-site in our Orchard Park, NY offices. Work hours are typically Monday through Friday (40 hours per week); however, hours may vary based on workload and travel.
