Field Service Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Roller Coaster / Ride Field Service Technician to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will provide technical support to internal and external customers by performing setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, optimization, and repair. You will collaborate with support staff, and customers to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems, order replacement parts, and complete necessary repairs or component replacements for machines and equipment.
- Conduct testing and inspections to ensure equipment functionality.
- Prepare detailed work orders and written reports regularly.
- Work collaboratively across manufacturing, engineering, sales, and service functions to resolve issues and optimize equipment performance.
- Interface with customers professionally and effectively to address complex technical issues.
- Handle special projects or other tasks assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.
Travel Requirements
- Approximately 70% local/regional travel within the assigned region (Monday – Friday).
- Weekend work may be required based on customer needs.
Qualifications
- Experience: Hands-on experience with Roller Coaster or other rides, including assembly, testing, and service.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics a plus.
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving technical problems with a proactive approach.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Energetic, positive attitude, and flexible work ethic.
Additional Considerations
- Multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have a valid drivers license.
