ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER - EPLAN
(full-time, M-F, 8-5)
ASIC Corporation, a West Chester, Ohio based motion control distributor & systems integration firm, is now accepting resumes for engineers who have prior Eplan experience. We are a growing company offering career opportunities for candidates looking to gain experience in many diverse industries and a multitude of industrial processes including automotive, power, consumer goods, medical, military, paper and steel, just to name a few.
Day one in this role you will be expected to work independently on designing electrical systems in Eplan. The design process will include specification the components needed and creating a comprehensive BOM (list of materials) for ordering. You would then be responsible for creating layout and schematic drawings in Eplan. As your design moves to the build phase you would then help to troubleshoot/debug the system when needed. Other job duties would include programming PLCs, Drives, and HMIs, both in house and at customer sites.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or related field.
- Experience with schematic design software, Eplan.
- Excellent technical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage project hours, schedules, and interface with customers.
- Some travel required to fulfill responsibilities.
The preferred candidate will possess the following technical experience:
- Field experience with commissioning and starting up PLC based control systems.
- Communications protocols with: AB Ethernet I/P, Devicenet, Bacnet.
- HMI programming skills with software such as: AB FactoryTalk, ViewSE, Proficy.
- Servo & VFD Drive Controls: AB, Control Techniques, ABB.
- PLC programming on: AB, Siemens, Idec.
