The team

Responsibilities

The Enterprise Services Group is responsible for a range of critical functions each led by a high performing senior executive comprising:

  • Finance (led by the Chief Financial Officer)
  • Procurement, Property and Contracts
  • Performance Reporting and Planning
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program.

The group also provides a range of support, advice and analysis across ASIC and is instrumental in enabling ASIC to be a modern effective regulator and enforcement agency.

The role

As the Head of Financial Operations, you will be accountable for leading and providing direction to the design, development, and implementation of ASIC's Cost recovery, and administered financial functions (regulatory and registry). In addition, you will oversee ASIC's unclaimed monies team.

You will provide technical expertise and industry knowledge to the CFO, Senior ASIC leadership teams and Commission and foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture with a focus on continuous improvement and best practice.

You will provide thought leadership and collaboration across the Finance leadership team in the development of new ways of working, embracing emerging technologies.

As a manager you will be achieving business goals set for you and providing an environment that allows your team to be effective and satisfied with their work while developing their full potential.

About You

To be successful in this challenging and rewarding position you will have extensive experience in leading and delivering projects across a variety of accounting functions and experience of managing complex relationships, engaging with governments, senior public officials, and providing insights on cost recovery and financial issues.

Strong experience providing advice & analysis to board level senior executives and senior Line managers and strong leadership experience in driving innovative methods and practices will be highly beneficial.

You will have senior experience leading complex projects requiring critical thinking and judgement gained working in a corporate or government Finance team with excellent communication and influencing skills.
