Big Data Developer

We are seeking a skilled Big Data Engineer to help develop and scale a high-performance data infrastructure that supports next-generation autonomous systems. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an end-to-end platform encompassing data ingestion, annotation, machine learning integration, and real-time analytics.

You’ll work within a fast-paced R&D environment focused on building intelligent driver-assistance and autonomous driving technologies. The role spans data pipeline development, cloud infrastructure, and integration with neural network frameworks, enabling high-throughput access to diverse sensor datasets collected from advanced test vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a cutting-edge big data platform supporting ADAS and autonomy development workflows.
• Develop and optimize cloud-based pipelines for efficient pre-processing and ingestion of large-scale sensor data.
• Design scalable systems for transferring data from test vehicles into centralized data lakes.
• Improve search, retrieval, and processing of sensor and perception data using big data frameworks, caching, and storage optimizations.
• Collaborate on the architecture of secure, distributed data access models across both on-premise and cloud systems.
• Partner with teams in machine learning, software testing, and perception to address complex system integration challenges.

Required Qualifications

• Solid understanding of distributed systems, database architecture, and big data frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C , Python, or Java.
• Proven experience with back-end systems or data engineering in large-scale environments.
• Familiarity with machine learning pipelines, deep learning frameworks, and open-loop validation workflows.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing and operating large-scale data collection, processing, and storage systems.
• Awareness of cybersecurity practices relevant to distributed data architectures.
• Prior experience working in mobility, robotics, or autonomous systems is a plus.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in big data, backend development, or cloud-based infrastructure.

Positions at ASICSoft range from $50,000 - $300,000.
