Job Title : Business Systems Consultant

Location : New York City, 10004, NY

Pay : $65 / hr on W2

Duration : 12 months

Role is located in NYP.

This will be a hybrid role 3x a week in office. The hope is that in the beginning of the assignment you may be in office more than 3x

Job Description :

• The Product Development group focuses on building technical solutions to resolve complex problems in Portfolio Accounting, Investor Allocations, Trade Processing, Risk Mitigation, Client Onboarding, Regulations, Investor Due Diligence, and other important processes in the organization. We consult closely with our external and internal clients, build new applications, and continuously improve the existing proprietary applications.
• The Team currently seeks a Consultant with understanding of computer science disciplines, with wide experience operating in the technical environment of financial institutions, and with skills in business analysis and technical project management, to assist us in the support and projects in the systems that run the Private Equity Fund Administration business.
• The business and technical environments are complex and there are many processes that requires deep analysis in order for origin of issues to be identified, and resolutions discovered, and then communicated to the technology team to be implemented. Besides issue resolution, we expect the consultant to also contribute to the various initiatives for the systems. He / she must be able to thorough understand the business needs and translate them into technical enhancements, and communicate well to the technology team for implementation.
• The candidate is expected to be familiar with the general software development cycle, the Jira tool, Agile development methodology, and other routines in a technical environment.
• In addition, the consultant is expected to assist in the onboarding of new clients to the systems, and such work has to be done meticulously as there are substantial amount of historical data from a new client to be onboarded. Often translation of such information from systems outside of to the way expected by our internal systems is required.
• Besides analytical and technical skills, the candidate has to have good communication skill, a collaborative attitude, high creativity, as well as being an independent thinker and at the same time a great listener.
