Digital Marketing Creator

Aslan Brewing Company (Aslan) is a B Corp based in Bellingham, WA, focused on producing and distributing world-class organic beer using local resources, low-impact practices, and socially equitable initiatives in order to promote a healthier, happier, and more conscious community.

Aslan is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Digital Marketing Creator to add to our Marketing team in our Bellingham office. This role is part time and is expected to work 18 - 20 hours weekly. Occasional nights and weekends may be required for Event photography related duties.

Job Summary: The Digital Marketing Creator works under the close direction of the Marketing Director to maintain Aslan Depot social media accounts, regularly takes and edits promotional photography of events and specials, and provides regular assistance with the merchandise program.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manages the Aslan Depot location’s Instagram account, posting grid posts and stories, creating captions and content.
• Works under the close direction of the Marketing Director while also in collaboration with the Depot General Manager and Events Coordinator.
• Creates content for Aslan Brewing, prioritizing lifestyle and off-site content.
• Occasionally writes blog posts for the website (i.e. employee features, artist, farmer, beer features).
• Attends weeknight and weekend events to take promotional photos (emphasis on weekly music, repeat events, anniversaries).
• Brainstorms and executes ideas for reels, video content, etc.
• Takes and edits all photos for merchandise program while working closely with the Merch Manager.
• Leads Artist of the Month program by sourcing local artists to feature at Brewpub
• Covers Aslan social media as needed/when Marketing Director is unavailable.

Requirements:

• Must have a DSLR camera.
• Basic understanding of photography and editing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Illustrator.
• Ability to easily brainstorm content ideas solo or in a group setting.
• Availability to be on site Tuesday’s or Wednesday’s during normal business hours.
• Availability to attend weeknight and weekend events.

Education and Experience:

• Marketing degree desired.
• Must have Marketing or Social Media Coordination experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Prolong periods of standing/walking to photograph events.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
