State Farm Stadium
Completed in August of 2006, State Farm Stadium has set the standard in multi-purpose NFL Facilities. The stadium is home to a variety of different events including Arizona Cardinals home games, the annual Fiesta Bowl, international soccer matches, motorsports, trade & consumer shows, and corporate & social functions. Designed with a roll-out natural grass field and retractable roof, the first of its kind in North America, the stadium can convert from a sports facility to a multi-functional event space allowing it to host numerous event types in air-conditioned comfort.
Summary
The Conversions Specialist plays a key role in executing event setups and teardowns efficiently while ensuring the stadium is maintained and prepared for all events. This full-time position is responsible for daily preventative maintenance and operational tasks within the conversions department. The Conversions Specialist handles all aspects of setup, teardown, organization, and other duties required to support a seamless event experience and maintain a high standard of facility readiness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Execute the setup and teardown of equipment, furniture, and staging for events, including concerts, sports games, and corporate functions.
- Accountable for ensuring that all setups and related details are executed with precision, strictly adhering to event production notes or Supervisor direction. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical, as this role plays a key part in the success of each event.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance tasks to ensure conversion equipment and materials are in proper working order.
- Read and interpret event layout diagrams to ensure accurate placement of materials and equipment.
- Organize, clean, and maintain storage areas for conversion materials and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of conversion equipment and facilities, identifying and reporting maintenance needs.
- Operate machinery such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and other specialized equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with maintaining an accurate inventory of event setup materials and equipment.
- Respond to time-sensitive or last-minute requests to adjust event setups or resolve operational challenges.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members and event participants.
- Lead small groups of part-time teammates as needed to successfully complete tasks in support of event operations.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
- Mechanical skills, working experience in an arena, convention center or stadium strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of forklift, scissor lift, boom lift and other heavy equipment or ability to get certified within 3 months.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements, knowledge of security and safety.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Capable of working nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to converse fluently in both English and Spanish is a plus.
- Reliable means of transportation.
- Must have AZ driver’s license.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with stadium set up
