POSITION: Event Attendant/Janitor -- Part-timeREPORTS TO: Janitorial Supervisor/Operations Manager
FLSA STATUS: Hourly, Non-Exempt
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for an Event Attendant/Janitor at the Pensacola Saenger Theatre. The Janitor is responsible for participating in the day-to-day functions of performing various physical tasks, as well as cleaning and maintaining the facility and provide housekeeping tasks as needed.Major Responsibilities:* Maintain a safe and clean environment* Clean restrooms, offices and public areas* Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping* Shampoo carpets as assigned or needed* Dust flat surfaces
* Operate basic electrical cleaning equipment* Clean exterior and interior entrance door glass* Work on special projects as needed* Clean building entrances and concourse* Ability to read and understand English* Clean and maintain cleaning equipment* Dispose of all waste, including bulk trash removal from building in all areas* Attend and conform to all policies established by ASM Global in the successful performance of this position* Must have the ability to interact with guests in a friendly, courteous and polite manner. This will include initiating contact with guests within 10 feet -- i.e. smiling, saying 'Good Day' or offering assistance when needed* Must feel comfortable when around large groups or speaking to a guest, as needed* Understands the importance of providing customer service and in understanding of 'The Magic is in the Details'* All other duties and responsibilities as assignedEducation and/or Experience:Prior conventions and/or event experience in an arena, convention center or other similar public assembly facility preferred.Skills/Aptitudes:
*Able to work in a multi-tasking environment with minimal supervision.
*Work well in fast-paced environment or under deadlines.
*Work in a team environment or alone, with or without direct supervision.
*Good verbal communication skills.
*Ability and willingness to follow written and or verbal instruction.Knowledge:
