Job Summary:
This position falls under the supervision of the Director of Parking Operations. Assigned specifically to posts within the parking areas of Huntington Place. This position is directly responsible for observing and protecting the assets and staff of Huntington Place.
Key Job Elements:
- Must provide excellent customer service when dealing with visitors, employ ees, coworkers etc.
- Check in and verify guests with security access issues to ensure proper entry into the facility.
- Provide visual security checks of all parking areas.
- Coordinate with DPD and in-house security to direct traffic and establish correct flow patterns.
- Provide a visible security presence to deter incidents.
- Provide proper reporting and detailed written accounts of security incidents.
- Other security functions as assigned by Senior Management.
Qualifications:
- Education - High school diploma or equivalency and demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
- Experience - One (1) year of public safety experience. One (1) year of customer service experience.
- Skills - Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability for a flexible schedule which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to always remain professional and provide calm and clear assistance in the event of an emergency or when dealing with individuals who are unhappy with certain parking/event situations that may occur.
- Communication Skills – Strong written and verbal skills. Strong attention to detail.
