Summary
ASM GLOBAL is seeking an energetic and responsible intern to join us for a twelve (12) week program within our Communications Department. Intern(s) will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of the daily tasks, procedures, and practices while also supporting individuals with various projects and updates and heading some of their own projects and presentations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Wage: $17-$19/hour, dependent on experience and skills
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Flexible Start/End Times, Occasional Weekend Availability Required
Interviews: Times and dates are still being confirmed
Program Start Date: May 5, 2025
Program End Date: July 28, 2025

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Social Media Management: Oversee the social media accounts for the Salt Palace and Mountain America Expo Center and enhance engagement on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Content Calendar Management: Develop and manage the social media content calendar to ensure consistent and strategic posting.
- Photography and Videography: Capture and produce photos and videos of events at both venues for use in social media, newsletters, and other communications.
- Internal Communications: Design and create materials for communication for staff, managers, and event attendees, including emails, TV displays, and physical signage.
- Website Support: Assist with backend programming for website updates and provide support as directed by the Communications Manager and Coordinator.
- Weekly Meetings: Prepare for and participate in weekly meetings with the Communications Manager to review accomplishments, set goals, and identify areas for growth. You will also attend weekly staff and production meetings.
- Employee Engagement: Support the employee engagement recognition program through initiatives such as celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and in-house achievements.
- Committee Involvement: Participate actively in all venue committees, including the Safety, Diversity & Community Committee, and the Green Team.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- Eligible for school credit and enrolled as a full-time student.
- Ability to commit to a minimum work schedule of 20 hours per week (20-25 hours preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Good understanding of current trends and developments in online communications, blogs, and social media.
- Exceptional attention to detail and highly detail-oriented.
- Eager to learn and proactive in taking on new tasks.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong multi-tasking and project prioritization skills.
- Comfortable working in an office environment with teams and the public.
- High-energy team player with a willingness to step in and take initiative.
- Organized, flexible, and able to accept direction and constructive feedback.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
