THE ROLE
Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a self-motivated, passionate, talented and savvy entertainment industry professional to join the team as a Marketing Coordinator. The Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Marketing Department in the strategy, development, execution, and analysis of marketing campaigns to sell tickets, engage the community and build brand recognition for Van Andel Arena, DeVos Place, DeVos Performance Hall, Acrisure Amphitheater and Amway Stadium. The ideal candidate will have excellent copywriting, graphic design and project management skills, excellent attention to detail, and will work closely with the Marketing and Booking Departments to maximize and coordinate programs and initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have excellent copywriting, graphic design and project management skills, excellent attention to detail, and will work closely with the Marketing and Booking Departments to maximize and coordinate programs and initiatives.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist the marketing and booking teams with Grand Opening marketing campaigns and materials for Acrisure Amphitheater and Amway Stadium, including project management, reporting, partner/community outreach and more.
- Coordinate special projects for these two new venues as well as Van Andel Arena, DeVos Place and DeVos Performance Hall.
- Assist with planning and creation of social media content for Van Andel Arena, DeVos Place, DeVos Performance Hall, Acrisure Amphitheater and Amway Stadium on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, LinkedIn and more. These duties include creating dynamic social media content such as writing copy, designing rich graphics and shooting/editing short videos, as well as engaging with fans and clients in the digital space.
- Complete marketing and promotional summaries for all ticketed events. Prepare social media and e-mail marketing summaries and reports, and track social media engagement across all platforms.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of event promotions with community partners to increase visibility and interest in current events with the goal of selling tickets and supporting the local community.
- Serve as the on-site marketing department representative for designated events. Duties may include escorting media and sponsorship, promotional, patron experience and/or media partner implementation, etc.
- Assist with coordination of gifts and welcome materials for entertainers and guests.
- Conduct venue tours and job shadow opportunities for schools and community groups. Assist with the college student photography program.
- Order materials for marketing and booking projects and initiatives.
- All other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field preferred.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in marketing (sports, entertainment and/or brand experience preferred).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with graphic design using Adobe Photoshop.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented, resourceful, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be self-directed and able to work independently, while also flourishing in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of some weekends, nights and holidays.
- Maintains, at all times, high standards, positive attitude, and professional appearance.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
