Supports the design and management of systems over the entire lifecycle from inception to phase-out. Supports the creation, analysis, and enhancement of internal IT processes, creating scripts to automate internal workflows. Facilitates sprint planning sessions, daily stand-up meetings, sprint retrospectives and backlog grooming. Supports routine systems operations and maintenance of infrastructure services. Performs routine tests and documents system issues. Helps develop technical specifications based on user needs.
Create wireframes using industry standard tools and methodologies.
Conduct A / B testing
Ability to travel to DMV site(s) to observe Soldier behaviors in action in order to propose system enhancements.
Document user experiences and user interfaces.
Supports integrated functionality, usability, reliability, performance and support requirements of a system.
Design and develop reusable components, code and document custom automation frameworks, maintain scripts, and update these items as needed to build continuous delivery pipelines, ensuring rapid availability of the product.
Installs, configures, tests, and maintains operating systems, applications software, and system management tools.
Addresses the day-to-day management and maintenance of infrastructure services, systems, applications, and hardware usage.
Analyzes user needs and shapes the assembly of well-documented functional requirements and technical specifications.
Helps develop technical specifications, interface control documents, test plans and procedures, analyzes configuration and processing solutions, and tests conformance to specifications.
Analyzes business operations and processes to identify opportunities for process improvement, management control of work, or automation. Generates process and solution options and reviews with appropriate stakeholders.
Provides analytical support in the conceptualization, development, and implementation of robust, inter-linked systems.
Researches and documents analysis in technical reports and presents findings and recommendations to meet program requirements.
Conducts technical evaluation, design and readiness reviews, and quality control.
Develops solutions by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions, validate results by testing programmers, and ensure operation by training client personnel and providing support.
Ensures the team uses agile practices, to improve team performance that result in high quality software and solutions delivered in the shortest possible time.
Support the Product Owner in developing, maintaining and
grooming Product Backlog and corresponding Burndown Chart.
Ensures that the overall scope and technical requirements for Sprint
Planning artifacts are understood, created, captured, and implemented.
Removes impediments / blockers that would prevent the team from achieving its sprint goals (internal to the team as well as external, dealing with all cross functional teams as appropriate) in order to keep the team highly productive.
Tracks and communicates team velocity and sprint / release progress.
Ensures team conducts scrum meetings with right objectives and sets up achievable goals with necessary acceptance criteria.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, other relevant field, or equivalent relevant experience.
2-5 years of experience in Systems Engineering / Analysis.
1-2 years of experience leading a Scrum team and 1 year as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred
Security Level Requirement
- Clearable to Secret clearance

Experience applying process and systems engineering, analytics and operations research methods at every phase of a project.
Compensation Ranges
Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM's overall compensation and benefits package for employees.
