- Develop and implement robust data governance frameworks to ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Define data management strategies and ensure the integrity and security of data assets across all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Oversee the full data lifecycle for the project, from sourcing and transformation to migration and ongoing management.
- Ensure data is structured, migrated, and optimized for the successful implementation of the ERP system.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including functional leads, business users, and the System Integrator (SI), to define and align data requirements with project goals.
- Collaborate to ensure data is accessible, actionable, and aligned with business objectives across all relevant departments.
- Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with data protection laws.
- Proactively identify potential data risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard data throughout the project.
- Identify and resolve any data discrepancies, inaccuracies, or gaps to maintain the reliability and consistency of data throughout the migration and post-implementation stages.
- Ensure data is cleansed and validated before migrating into the new ERP system.
- Develop business intelligence and reporting solutions to provide actionable insights to the business, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Provide regular updates and status reports on data migration progress to project leadership, highlighting key risks and issues.
- Work with the Change and Training teams to ensure that testing outcomes are aligned with user training and readiness activities.
- Support data-related aspects of user training materials and ensure end users are equipped to work with the new data structures.
- Assist in maintaining and updating project documentation, including data migration plans, status reports, and data-related artefacts.
- Ensure clear communication of data migration timelines, deliverables, and any dependencies.
- 8 years of experience in data management, preferably within large-scale ERP implementations or other major technology projects.
- Proven experience in data strategy, governance, management, and migration, particularly within complex, cross-functional projects.
- Strong understanding of data frameworks, methodologies, and tools, including experience with data tools such as ETL, data profiling, database management, and data migration.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, specifically Oracle Fusion, is highly preferred.
- Experience with end-to-end functional processes (e.g., supply chain, manufacturing, finance) and how they relate to data requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring data quality and reliability.
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data discrepancies or gaps effectively.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience in managing multiple data-related tasks and priorities simultaneously.
