JOB DESCRIPTION:

As Asmark’s Data Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting various sets of data across our organization. You will work closely with different teams to understand their needs and provide actionable insights that can help us make informed, data-driven decisions. Your work will directly support key business operations, guide strategy, and drive overall growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Integration: Gather, clean, and integrate data from multiple sources (internal systems, databases, spreadsheets, etc.) to create a centralized, accurate, and accessible data infrastructure.
- Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret data trends, patterns, and correlations across various business functions to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Reporting & Visualization: Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), business metrics, and provide insights to leadership and stakeholders.
- Data Interpretation: Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide customized reports and analysis that support decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current data processes and suggest improvements or automation to streamline workflows and enhance data accuracy and usability.
- Training & Support: Provide guidance and training to other team members on how to use data effectively and encourage a data-driven culture within the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in data analysis or a related role, ideally in a small to mid-sized organization.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Google Analytics, or Tableau (experience with other BI tools is a plus).
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to process large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
- Experience in developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Experience supporting decision-making with data insights.
- Knowledge of business metrics and how to use data to improve business performance.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings in a clear, concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
- A problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with data warehousing, data migration and data integration techniques.
- Experience working with leadership teams to define KPIs and success metrics.
- Understanding of business intelligence best practices.
- Experience with EOS.
