What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Site Safety Inspector position at ASN Constructors?
ASN Constructors is a joint venture of three international contractors (Acciona, Shikun & Binui and North American Construction Group) who will work with the Metro Flood Diversion Authority and other area stakeholders to build a historic project that will protect the citizens of the Fargo-Moorhead area from flood waters from the Red River.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will provide site safety leadership, ensure compliance with Company safety standards, implement safety directives, improve safety performance, and ensure Company safety policies and procedures are aligned with federal, state, and local regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Inspect active project sites to evaluate ongoing work conditions to guarantee compliance
- Liaise with external parties such as government-employed inspectors to evaluate the process of construction sites
- Work with project management teams and field workers to implement and device solutions to safety-related issues on project sites
- Demonstrate good organizational, planning and time management skills
- Help detects deficiencies and addressed deficiencies in a timely and effective manner
- Responsible for preparing and submitting all regulatory reports in a timely manner
- Train company employees on safe work practices and emergency procedures
- Other duties and tasks as necessary and/or assigned to effectively carry out job responsibilities and maximize the effectiveness of this position.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 4 years post-secondary education preferred, Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education
- 3-5 years of progressive Heavy/Civil and Industrial construction safety experience
- OSHA30 certification
- OSHA500 Authorization highly recommended
- First Aid/ CPR/AED Instructor Certification preferred
- Must possess a valid Driver License
