Work Schedule: Mondays through Fridays 8:30 am to 5 pm

Location: Philadelphia, PA (On Site)

Starting Salary: $60k and up depending on experience

Asociación Puertorriqueños en Marcha (APM) is a nonprofit organization in Philadelphia, PA providing human services to the community including early childhood education, foster care & adoption, child welfare, mental & behavioral health, community and economic development, housing, violence intervention, and services to community schools. APM has been servicing the North Philadelphia community since 1970.  

POSITION OVERVIEW 

The Digital Design Manager will manage website content and maintain all graphic design. Typical projects include, but are not limited to, website and mobile asset design, graphic design, brand book/ style guide, static and animated images and video, digital and print ads, flyers for community events, email marketing design, and a social media strategy. The role of the Digital Design Manager will involve ensuring consistent brand representation across all digital and print materials as well working closely with various teams to meet organizational goals. 

Essential Functions 

• Develop and design website content and produce other graphic design deliverables 
• Perform various web development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript 
• Contribute to the UI/UX design process, including wire framing and usability review 
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs 
• Troubleshoot site display issues, including CSS and JavaScript errors 
• Work with subject matter experts to publish web content using WordPress 
• Conceptualize, design, layout and produce compelling on-brand, on-strategy creative content for website and marketing collateral, including:
  • Programs
  • Signage
  • Ads
  • Email
  • Social Media Posts
  • Blogs
  • Newsletters
  • Infographics
  • Research Reports
  • Other Publications  
• Design logos and create a branding style guide with templates for presentations, internal and external documents, brochures and other promotional materials 
• Conceptualize, design, layout and produce compelling on-brand, on-strategy creative content for web and social media 
• Perform additional duties as requested to support the External Affairs Team and the CEO

Requirements

 REQUIREMENTS 

• Education: Must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in any field
• Relevant Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design and web development with marketing, advertising or communications focus, or related experience. 
• Excellent Communications Skills:  Both written and oral, and in both English and Spanish preferred but not required.  

Required Skills:

• Experience in both graphic and web design, a strong understanding of best practices (SEO, standard web design and development) 
• Practical experience in development of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and/or SQL as well as WordPress 
• Competency in Adobe Creativity Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) 
• Familiarity with Mailchimp and NetSuite preferred 
• Familiarity with graphic design concepts, practices and procedures, color theory, typography, and other elements of design 
• Experience working with printing and design vendors 
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and hundreds of projects each year 
• Advanced communications skills in Spanish and English, both written and oral 
• Advanced social media competency, and technological skills in general 
• Ability to create newsletters and flyers both in print and on-line
