AS ONE Inc. is a community based Day Program looking for staff to assist our consumers while out and about in the Community! If you are looking for a chance to break into this field with no experience or just looking for a change in scenery, this could be the opportunity you are looking for.
***MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND MEET INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS***
Job duties include but is not limited to:
The health and safety of consumers is our number one priority;
Will coordinate with the Supervisor and advise the Supervisor directly;
Help implement the consumer’s objectives and behavior plans specified in the IPP/ISP and all program curricula;
Assist consumers with their personal care needs (ADLS) as necessary to maintain hygiene;
Assist/teach consumers with all cleanup, groceries, plan and prepare meals;
Assist/teach consumers with vocational training, janitorial and maintenance;
Assist consumers on all tasks, training and community integration activities;
Assist/teach consumers to utilize the public transportation system;
Maintain a clear focus toward developing consumer’s independence and positive self-esteem;
Follow through with all planned activities, and create schedules with consumers;
Report any and all incidents, behaviors and occurrences immediately to the Supervisor include incidents of possible abuse or neglect;
Will always present self appropriately and as a role model for consumers at home and in the community;
Document daily charting notes;
Write quarterly progress notes and participate in consumers assessment, planning and evaluation process;
Will attend weekly contact meetings with Supervisor and monthly in-service;
Responsible for safeguarding all consumer information in your possession. Inside/outside consumer residence and off duty; and
Other duties as assigned including clerical, janitorial, out general maintenance and bookkeeping or accounting.
Requirements:
Must possess valid CPR and First Aid cards;
Hold a valid California driver’s license;
Willing to submit to a full background check, fingerprints and a criminal records check;
High School Diploma or equivalent;
Must be able to read and write and speak comprehensible English;
Must be patient and have a capacity to work with very difficult behaviors;
Must have good overall people skills; and
Willing to submit to drug scree, physcial and TB.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16.00 per hour - $16.50 per hour
