Position Summary:
Seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Marketing Communications Intern to support the development and execution of marketing initiatives for the Wound Prevention Portfolio. Responsibilities include building a 12–18 month communications strategy, implementing lead generation efforts using the RACE model, and refreshing branded collateral to align with updated category messaging. This role offers hands-on experience in both digital and traditional marketing channels, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact campaigns within a purpose-driven organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning
- Develop and structure a 12–18 month marketing communications strategy for the Wound Prevention Portfolio.
- Include key timelines for campaigns, tradeshows, and industry events.
- Define anticipated success metrics and provide budget estimates with a focus on ROI.
- Present final strategy to senior leadership, including the Chief Product Officer and VP of Product Management.
Lead Generation & Campaign Execution
- Build and launch a lead generation process using the RACE marketing model.
- Partner with IT and Customer Success to create a traceable, user-friendly tool connected to the category landing page.
- Ensure smooth handoff and follow-up processes with Sales team members.
- Design the process to be scalable and repeatable for future campaigns.
Content & Collateral Development
- Refresh marketing materials such as sell sheets, IFUs, and product packaging to reflect updated branding.
- Support sales enablement through the launch and training of new materials.
- Contribute creative input during photoshoots and content development as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Channel Strategy
- Evaluate and recommend both digital and traditional marketing channels (e.g., social media, email, print, events) to maximize audience engagement.
- Collaborate with a creative agency to produce compelling, brand-aligned content across platforms.
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, Quality, and IT teams to ensure marketing initiatives are well-defined and achievable.
- Align campaigns with key customer and industry events to support business goals.
Performance Measurement & Optimization
- Support the tracking, analysis, and reporting of campaign performance.
- Ensure marketing plans stay on track, meet deadlines, and deliver results.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (junior or senior standing preferred).
- Hands-on experience with both digital and traditional marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, content creation, events, and print.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Creative thinker with a proactive mindset and a willingness to share fresh ideas.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
- Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, Salesforce.com, social media management tools, and email marketing systems.
- Awareness of current marketing trends, tools, and best practices is a plus.
- Able to thrive both independently and in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Physical Demands:
Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed, may require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods during the day, reaching above shoulder heights, below waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the day. The position may require lifting heavy supplies and office materials.
