ASP Web Solutions, LLC is looking for a PACS Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Portsmouth, VA. This person is responsible for day-to-day on-site engineering services necessary to support the operations and maintenance of an enterprise PACS. He/she will be shall be responsible for supporting and/or performing the
installation and configuration of new or replaced hardware and software components.
The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background, a solid understanding of applicable analytics, and a natural curiosity for producing effective solutions. This person is patient, has excellent time-management skills, and practices of effective communication style.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Skills:
- PACS Systems: Deep knowledge of PACS architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Operating Systems: Proficiency in Linux, Windows, and other relevant operating systems.
- Networking: Understanding of network protocols and technologies.
- Databases: Experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL).
- Hardware: Knowledge of server hardware, storage systems (SAN/NAS), and RAID arrays.
- System Administration:
Deploying, configuring, and maintaining PACS systems and related infrastructure. - Troubleshooting:
Diagnosing and resolving technical issues with PACS and related systems. - Performance Optimization:
Conducting audits of existing PACS server environments and optimizing performance. - Project Lifecycle Support:
Providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to implementation and maintenance. - Documentation:
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of PACS systems and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
- Two years of experience is required
- Knowledge of all engineering tools and applications and programming languages
