Job Summary
The Care & Enrichment Technician at the ASPCA Recovery & Rehabilitation Center is responsible for ensuring the safety, health, and enrichment of resident animals. This role involves maintaining clean and comfortable living environments, providing daily enrichment activities, and monitoring the well-being of animals with special needs.
Candidates should be adaptable and collaborative, with a strong commitment to animal welfare and experience in animal care. The successful candidate will have high school diploma or equivalent, professional or volunteer animal care experience with dogs, and completion of Fear Free Shelter Program certification within 60 days of hire.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe, healthy, clean, and enriched environment for resident animals
- Provide enrichment activities according to the daily enrichment schedule
- Monitor the eating, drinking, and elimination habits of every animal
Requirements
Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle history check demonstrating safe driving; ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays; dependable and ability to demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.
