What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Director position at Aspen Creek Senior Living?
- Perform a variety of tasks in support of residents, management, equipment, and property needs/requests.
- Professionally deliver prompt completion and follow-up on all work orders to assure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the performance, condition, and reliability of vehicles, equipment, buildings and grounds, and all amenities throughout the property.
- Develop, implement, evaluate a maintenance program that is approved and in accordance with quality standards; recommend improvements to property services provided by maintenance staff to the Property Executive Director to ensure the highest quality of standards.
- Plan and carryout preventative maintenance and environmental services.
- Diagnose problems, detect faulty operations, materials, and/or unfavorable conditions orequipment and report findings to supervisor as required
- Carry out repairs, landscaping, custodial tasks, snow and garbage removal.
- Participate in redecorating and restoration of resident rooms and common areas.
- Contribute and reinforce company safety measures such as Universal Precautions, OSHAstandards, infection control, hazards communications, fire safety and disaster policies andprocedures.
- Participate and provide input as an active member of the property management team.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between management team and the PropertyExecutive Director.
- Provide timely and accurate reports as required.
- Attend department meetings, staff meetings, and mandatory in-service training.
- Incorporate direction from the Executive Director and company strategic initiatives to refine and improve efficiencies.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding business operations and resident privacy.
- Understand and support all aspects of resident’s rights, including the right to be free ofrestraints and free of abuse, through all interactions required to carry out your duties.
- Promptly report any evidence of resident abuse or violation of resident’s rights to theappropriate person.
- Support an atmosphere which promotes a homelike environment.
ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
- Carry out delegated workplace safety activities and adhere to all company policies and practices regarding safety in the workplace.

- Maintain a high level of customer service satisfaction.
- Participate in property activities as required to ensure resident quality care and customerservice.

- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
- Other duties may include food preparation and service, activities coordination,housekeeping, or laundry services.
- On call responsibilities and flexible in scheduling.
- Direct supervision of maintenance technicians and housekeeping staff. As a manager, indirect supervision of employees may be delegated to you as needed.
- Provide leadership in the Maintenance Department and serve as a member of the property management team.
- Manage the selection, training, development and performance of all unlicensed personnel to retain a motivated, professional workforce for the company. Recruit applicants for job vacancies considering the requirements of the job and the skills/abilities of applicants.
- Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to assure mutual understanding of desired results. Ensure all job descriptions are kept up to date.
- Responsible for maintaining staffing patterns and overall staff schedules that are within company approved budget.
- Assess employee performance, provide positive and constructive feedback on an ongoing basis to reinforce performance expectations; Identify training and/or development opportunities to assist employees in achieving enhanced job performance and career objectives.
- Maintain maintenance personnel information to ensure up-to-date records in accordance with state regulations and company policy.
- Associates degree in related field.
- Maintenance experience in a healthcare settng strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated maintenance and repair knowledge/abilities.
- Previous sheetrock, painting, plumbing, light electrical and/or grounds keeping experiencepreferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
