Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Medical Assistant (MA)
Duties
As a Nursing Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Supporting patients with mobility and physical exercises as directed by nursing staff.
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients, particularly in behavioral health settings.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Documenting patient information accurately using electronic health record systems such as Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or Epic.
- Collaborating with nursing staff to implement care plans tailored to each patient's needs in acute care or hospital medicine settings.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following experience or skills:
- Previous experience in senior care, home care, or acute care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., Cerner, eClinicalWorks, Epic) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic patient care techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on patient service and compassion.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while also being capable of working independently when necessary.
