What are the responsibilities and job description for the Children's Behavior Intervention Specialist (Bachelors Required) position at Aspen Developmental Disabilities?
Position Summary: An intervention specialist will deliver Children's Habilitation Intervention Services (CHIS) to children within the Idaho Falls, Blackfoot and Pocatello regions. The Intervention Specialist is responsible for carrying out the interventions found on the participants service plans. They will provide both habilitation skills training and behavioral intervention services directly to the participant. The Intervention Specialist will be closely supervised by their Supervisor on a weekly basis. The Intervention Specialist will provide billable services for a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 40 hours a week. Intervention Specialist must meet the following minimum qualifications:
DDA Professional Qualifications
· Muust have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution in a social science, including social work, psychology, education, or other related discipline.
To ensure the highest compensation, the candidate must have one thousand forty (1,040) hours of experience working with children with developmental delays. Employees can gain this experience while employed at the agency.
Must completed and passed a criminal history and background check conducted by the Idaho Criminal History Unit;
Must have age-appropriate CPR and first aid certification for the participants age group they serve, and maintain current certification thereafter.
Must complete Intervention PROFESSIONAL competency course work approved by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare to demonstrate competencies related to the requirements to provide intervention services.
Aspen Developmental Services will assist successful candidate with completion of coursework to successfully gain certification with Department of Health and Welfare upon hire. (Intervention Handbook Sec. 16.03.09.575)

· Collect data and graph progress
· Provide a safe teaching environment
· Behavioral Interventionist encourage the child's successful developmental growth and acceptable social behaviors through reinforcing appropriate behaviors.

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
