JOB TITLE: Compounder
DEPARTMENT: Production
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
LOCATION: Lincoln, RI
HOURS / SHIFT: 1st shift – 5am-1pm

DESCRIPTION:
Produce syrup and extract batches for the syrup department following all GMP and Safety procedures. To ensure all activities are handled in accordance with Finlay’s mission, business philosophy, ethics, and goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce batches per blend orders. Log all necessary information on blend orders and ni company computer system.
- Document all lot numbers of raw ingredients
- Generate batch transfers for following day production
- Verifies transfers with shipping to ensure raw materials received match what was transferred
- Close blend orders when complete
- Gather and maintain required materials
- Gather and deliver samples for the lab
- Utilize tablets for imputing information regarding raw materials and down time
- Record all receipts and process paperwork in a timely manner.
- Follow good manufacturing practices and food safety practices.
- Maintains cleanliness of designated warehouse area.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to use material handling equipment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to communicate in English
- Ability to do mathematical conversion
- Ability to operate a forklift or willing to certify
- Adhere to HACCP and other food and manufacturing requirements
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to maneuver 85-pound boxes regularly
- Work in a hot, wet, humid environment
- Able to stand, bend, and stretch while performing duties
- Operate in a moderately noisy environment
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma/GED
