FRONT DESK/MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Responsibilities
Front Office Duties
- Answers telephone, schedules appointments, screens and routes calls.
- Records information in patients' medical records and documents intake or output and other data as assigned. Takes the patient's information and medical history.
- Opens and closes clinic
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Assists back office when needed.
Back Office Duties
- Schedules appointments, performs clinical tasks as needed.
- Prepares treatment rooms and patients for examination.
- Collects and prepares lab specimens as required.
- Performs other related duties as necessary.
Customer Service and Team-Orientation
- Anticipates patient/customer needs through active listening and ensure that issues are resolved within the scope of responsibility.
- An effective team player who is proactive, flexible, cooperative and willing to help others.
- Adheres to company policy.
Education/Licenses Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Clinical or hospital setting.
- SPANISH SPEAKING PREFERRED.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology and information.
- Ability to effectively present information both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to use EMR.
- Medical assisting experience preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
