Position Summary:
The Activity Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of activities and programs to meet the social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and cognitive needs of our residents. This role plays a vital part in fostering a vibrant and engaging community where residents feel valued, included, and fulfilled.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly activity calendars tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
- Lead group and one-on-one activities including arts and crafts, games, music, fitness, educational events, outings, and spiritual services
- Encourage resident participation through positive engagement and personalized invitations
- Coordinate with other departments and community volunteers to enhance activity offerings
- Maintain activity records, attendance, and documentation for resident charts as required
- Decorate community spaces seasonally and for special events or holidays
- Assist in planning and coordinating family events and community outreach activities
- Adapt programs for residents with memory care needs or limited mobility
- Support residents in maintaining their independence and overall well-being through meaningful engagement
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or related certification preferred
- Previous experience working with seniors in an assisted living, healthcare, or recreational setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in basic computer use (email, calendars, Microsoft Office)
- Ability to safely assist with resident mobility during activities and outings
- Must pass background check and meet all state requirements
Working Conditions:
- Primarily works indoors in a climate-controlled environment
- Occasional evening, weekend, and holiday shifts required based on activity schedule
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and be on feet for extended periods

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Rotating weekends
Experience:
- Assisting with ADLs: 1 year (Required)
- Assisted living: 1 year (Preferred)
