Job Summary
Come and tour our beautiful facility to see where you will work! We are fully staffed, but are on the hunt for a part-time RN or LPN to fill in every SUNDAY and MONDAY, OVERNIGHTs 10pm-6am. Although these would be your only scheduled shifts, you are free to pick up extra shifts as they become available.
The Charge Nurse plays a critical leadership role within the nursing team, overseeing patient care and ensuring high standards of clinical practice in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position is essential in coordinating patient flow, managing nursing staff, and providing direct patient care as needed. The Charge Nurse will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care to patients, particularly in emergency and trauma settings.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff on the unit to ensure effective patient care delivery.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including diagnostic evaluations and medical records management.
- Provide direct patient care, including emergency medicine procedures and catheter care as required.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers to enhance patient understanding and satisfaction.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing clinical outcomes within the unit.
Skills
- Proficient in diagnostic evaluation techniques relevant to acute care environments.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of medical records management systems and laboratory processes.
