The minimum and maximum salaries for this job role are below:
Minimum Salary - 127,600.00
Maximum Salary - 159,500.00

The Role
To assist and provide direction to others, so that actuarial services provided within the entity are in line with the actuarial business plan and broader strategic objectives within Aspen. This role supports the implementation of the new Pricing System.
The role requires the ability to interact with Underwriting to secure their buy-in and the ability to apply knowledge and insights concerning actuarial pricing techniques, technology, programming knowledge.

Key Accountabilities
- Supports the implementation of the new Pricing System.
- Operates in accordance with Actuarial Professional Standards.
- Pricing Model Actuarial Pricing Policy Document and associated referral criteria.
- Contribute to improving the Aspen pricing process.
- Provide a high quality and effective actuarial service to Aspen underwriters and management.
- Contributes to the tactical Actuarial plan and provides support to others to achieve positive results for the business in line with strategy.
- Contributes to the delivery of key Actuarial projects in line with Actuarial strategic vision.
- Facilitate successful process improvement delivery.
- Develop, maintain, and validate actuarial systems, data, reporting and procedures to ensure that these are aligned with business needs and fit for purpose - This is to include adopting efficient and consistent actuarial models and processes and/or technologies where appropriate.
- Initiate new projects and initiatives.
- Assessing and inputting to the purchase and development of risk analysis and management systems .
- Analyse information and utilize actuarial models to produce standard and ad hoc reports to inform and advise in relation to predicted risk and associated costs.
- Appropriate and accurate analysis and reporting is supplied in timely manner.
- Reports compiled in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years commercial insurance experience or large account pricing (pricing preferred, can consider other actuarial experience.
- Passed 5-6 actuarial exams or recent ACAS.
- Familiar with casualty lines and ISO circulators.
- Experience in corporate or consulting environment, the majority in general insurance.
- General experience in insurance industry involving data/analysis/systems/projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well independently or with others, particularly in a small team.
- Ability to persuade, influence, and negotiate both directly and indirectly.
- Experience in Excel is required, SQL is desired.
