Minimum Salary - 146,400.00
Maximum Salary - 183,000.00
The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving organizational efficiency and effectiveness at Aspen! You will have the opportunity to create quality by establishing and championing an “Aspen Way” operational excellence framework. This includes the ability to develop and implement tools, templates, taxonomy to include a set of best practices and standards. The role will foster a culture of operational excellence within end-to-end operations. This role will support across the organization in developing/embedding an Operational Excellence mindset and culture across Aspen. This will deliver business benefit through identifying and delivering standardization, optimization, and automation initiatives, whilst mitigating operational risk.
You will lead the Center of Expertise/Excellence (COE) to provide oversight and guidance on best practices and benefits. These will be realization opportunities based on process excellence reviews, priorities, etc. across Aspen. In addition to developing the framework for the way of working, this role is hands on in delivering its own portfolio of initiatives and ensuring we take a process led design approach to change adopting our best practices from the outset. Our Aspen Values are expected to be reflected in the delivery and performance of every role.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop, embed and educate Operational Excellence principles, supporting the development of a continuous improvement culture within the organization
- Build an Operational Excellence capability across the organization based on a single practice model and build and maintain a continual improvement program that measures and improves process efficiency and process maturity using standardized models e.g., Six Sigma, Lean etc.
- Build and implement a Process certification regime
- Drive a standard of process documentation across service operations to support BCP/resiliency
- Work with Service Owners to identify service design opportunities targeting improvement and cost benefit delivery through the optimization of low-cost location resource
- Ensure, through influence and governance that both Service Owners and the Supplier are supported in optimizing service outcomes. Use influence and bring credibility through expertise and experience both within Aspen, the Business and Third Parties
- Support the Group COO in the delivery of the strategic service management agenda, driving operational and process excellence across partners and throughout the organization.
- Recommends and embeds the Operational Excellence approach, mindset, and culture to those that lead implementation of enhancements, to systems/processes/reporting to ensure the framework is applied and managed efficiently and effectively.
- Provide strategic leadership, direction and support to operational management ensuring that end to end business processes are efficient and appropriately controlled.
- Work with change and business architecture to ensure process excellence is at the heart of solution design.
Skills & Experience:
- 10 plus years of experience driving and enabling operational and process excellence diagnosing root cause of process breakdowns
- Utilization of process management methodology such as Lean, Six Sigma etc.
- A history of working in the Insurance Industry – preferably Underwriting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and trust at all levels with internal customers.
- A consultative approach to working across a global organization
- Analytical mindset, but also creativity to seek, encourage and find non-traditional approaches.
- Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate both directly and indirectly
- Ability to analyze and use data for decision making
- Strategic and innovative thinker
- Strong reasoning capabilities-creative and lateral thinking, with strong problem-solving skills
