The minimum and maximum salaries for this job role are below:
Minimum Salary - 102,400.00
Maximum Salary - 128,000.00
The Role:
Supports the global Ceded Operations business with ensuring an effective and efficient Ceded Reinsurance function. Supports the AVP/VP in the management of the Ceded Operations function, demonstrating collaboration, awareness and understanding of various departments involved in the reinsurance process, including Underwriting, Finance, Actuarial, Claims, Legal and others as appropriate to deliver on critical outward reinsurance activities. - Contributes to and ensures delivery of Ceded Reinsurance strategy through operational deliverables to achieve positive results for the business in line with strategy.
Key Accountabilities:
- Identifies and executes process improvements across the team, department and/or business unit for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Liaise with Ceded Reinsurance and Underwriting to ensure all accounting and administration process requirements are accurately interpreted.
- Work collaboratively with Finance to ensure front-to-end processes are working seamlessly.

- Assist in development of ceded reinsurance budgeting and planning.
- Responsible for developing analytic processes and controls ensuring accurate reporting of ceded financials.
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly and ad hoc management reporting of ceded financials.
- Responsible for reviewing and interpretating reinsurance treaties.
- Assist in development and implementation of internal controls and development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous Reinsurance Related Experience.
- Professional qualifications ( broad business qualifications) at a level of degree or equivalent qualification.
- Track record of success.
- Reputable experience in the marketplace.
- Must fully understand what reinsurance is and how group ceded reinsurance works.
- Must comprehend reinsurance treaties and the requirements described within these of both the reinsurers and the ceding company.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to manage conflicting priorities to achieve deadlines.
- Able to plan effectively and efficiently.
- Strong customer orientation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment both across the US entity and the Group.
- Strong reasoning capabilities – creative and lateral thinking, with strong problem-solving-skills.
- Able to independently investigate and trace through data issues, in coordination with internal departments, to confirm ceded reinsurance calculations.
