Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a love for learning in students. This role involves teaching various math subjects, including Geometry, and implementing instructional design strategies that cater to diverse learning styles. The Mathematics Teacher will create an engaging classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student needs.
- Teach mathematics concepts, including but not limited to Geometry, Algebra, and Calculus.
- Utilize instructional design techniques to create effective learning materials and assessments.
- Prepare students for standardized testing by providing targeted instruction and practice.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Provide tutoring support to students needing additional assistance in mathematics.
- Incorporate Montessori principles where applicable to enhance student engagement.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
Experience
- A degree in Mathematics or a related field is required; higher education teaching experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with instructional design methodologies is highly desirable.
- Experience in tutoring or teaching mathematics at various levels is advantageous.
- Knowledge of standardized testing practices and preparation techniques is beneficial.
- Previous experience working in a classroom setting, particularly with diverse learning environments, is a plus.
- Strong proofreading skills to ensure clarity and accuracy in instructional materials.
- An understanding of biochemistry concepts may be beneficial for interdisciplinary teaching opportunities.
