Leasing Agent

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing property leasing processes, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to prospective tenants. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients while maintaining accurate records and documentation. Pay will be based on experience.

Duties

• Conduct property tours and showcase available units to potential tenants.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of lease agreements and contracts.
• Maintain knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and ensure compliance in all leasing activities.
• Manage customer relationship management (CRM) systems to track leads and follow up with prospective tenants.
• Handle inquiries from potential renters, providing them with information about properties, amenities, and leasing terms.
• Collaborate with property management teams to address tenant concerns and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain organized files for all leasing documentation, including contracts, applications, and tenant correspondence.
• Utilize computer maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking property maintenance requests and updates.
• Support marketing initiatives to promote available properties through various channels.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations and legal administrative procedures related to leasing.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships with clients.
• Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant technology tools for managing leads and tenant information.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate records and files.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Sales experience is a plus, demonstrating the ability to effectively promote properties and close deals.
• High School diploma
• Valid Driver’s License
• 2 or more years of experience in leasing apartments or single-family homes
• Bi-lingual in Spanish, a plus
• Persistent approach with strong customer service
• Interacts productively in person and online with co-workers, team members, management and other company personnel on a daily basis to accomplish duties and responsibilities
• Flexible work schedule, which may include evenings and weekends depending on business needs
• Computer literacy, ability to comfortably navigate new technology and competency in MS Office
• Previous use of Propertyware preferred
