JOB AD: Administrative Assistant
Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for Administrative to partner with us in providing quality medical care to patients within a transitional Corrections setting. Administrative Assistants, alongside fellow team members, will be fully entrusted to ensure that the utmost competent care and safety is consistently delivered with compassion to the patient population.
The medical teams will be located within a secure medical facility, where such services include, but are not limited to the following:

- Medical Screening (New Arrivals)
- Comprehensive Screening
- Sick Call
- 24-Hour Emergency Medical and Mental Health Treatment
- Women’s Medical Care

Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency
- Completion of administrative assistant program is desirable
- Read, understand, speak, and write English fluently and proficiently; principles of excellent customer service; TRICARE benefits; quality control and risk management; medical terminology, medical forms, and records management; HIPAA guidelines for release of medical information; general medical and legal ethics. excellent communications skills; strong organizational skills; and computer operations, including operational skills with Microsoft applications (Windows, Word, Excel,); personnel shall understand the importance of meeting deadlines
- Shall have functioning knowledge of Government appointing MHS Guide to Access Success and records management rules, Government appointing information systems, JCAHO, HSI, HIPAA, DoD Health Information Privacy Regulation (DoD 6025.18-R), the Privacy Act, and DoD Privacy Program (DoD 5400.11-R)
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills; strong organizational skills; and computer operations, including operational skills with Microsoft applications (Windows, Word, Excel,); personnel shall understand the importance of meeting deadlines
- Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.
