Position: Software Tester
Job description:
Provide professional expertise in test analysis, scripting in manual and automated test frameworks, test execution and reporting, allowing for continuous improvement in test efficiency, test cycle times, and completeness of testing coverage.

Requirements Analysis and Test Scenario development;

Development of the manual and automated test scripts;
-
Set up and execution of the manual or automated test scripts;
-
Logging & recording of the test outcomes/results;
-
Daily reporting of the progress/status of the test execution;
-
Analysis and recovery from the execution errors;
-
Assist with the maintenance of the test scripts library;
-
Assist with training end-users on the items tested including but not limited to “How it Works” documentation for UAT and training support documentation Status Reporting.
Assists Client's Project Manager and UAT Leads on various testing techniques and tools, issues related to test analysis, scripting, execution, results reporting and monitoring and their recommendations for improvement.
Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent technical experience is required
Work Experience:
-
5- 7 years in software testing web services in test driven development environment;
-
1 - 3 years experience in the child care or early childhood education field * desired;
-
1 -3 years of system training on a web-based application*desired.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
-
Developing test scripts in manual and automated test environments for Web Applications using (Mandatory: HP Tools knowledge - QTP)
-
Web Services test execution including troubleshooting;
-
HP Mercury tools, including QualityCenter and ServiceTest * QuickTestPro also nice to have;
-
Test driven development (TDD) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience;
-
Risk Based and/or Rapid Software Testing principles;
-
Defect Management (defect logging, tracking, analysis, and validation);
-
XML knowledge (script writing and reading) * basic XSL / XSLT also nice to have;

Strong ANSI-92 or T-SQL query skills in either Oracle 9/10 or SQL Server 2000/2003 environment Solid understanding of project management principles in a agile or test driven methodology;

Strong understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance;

Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
-
Strong Presentation skills;
-
Familiarity with webinar or other web-based training technology.
