Position: Sr. Electrical Designer
Job Description
Sr. Electrical Designer based out of the Portage, IN office, will work with project managers, engineers and other designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of industrial plant electrical systems. Responsibilities will include:
Travel: some travel is required to facilities outside of Indiana. These would be one to two days onsite to gather information.
Software: AutoCad (AutoCad LT), excel, word, etap is a plus but not required
Job Description
Sr. Electrical Designer based out of the Portage, IN office, will work with project managers, engineers and other designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of industrial plant electrical systems. Responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of the following engineering drawings: Single line diagrams and panelboard layouts, Conduit and cable tray plans/ sections/ details designed to NEC, Conduit and cable schedules utilizing equipment layouts and vendor schematics, Conduit block diagrams and interconnection diagrams based on equipment layouts and vendor terminal block information.
- Learn and maintain proper drafting procedures and standards per Client and their client's AutoCAD standards
- Site visits to gather information, occasional one or two day travel might be required
- Attend meetings and interface with clients, vendors and contractors
- Direct and supervise junior level designers and drafters as needed to complete projects
- Communicate with the engineers and designers from other departments to insure correct and up to date information is uniform
- Flexible schedule between 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
