Data Quality Specialist

We are currently hiring for a Full-Time Data Quality Specialist to work day shift within our Health Information Management Department.

Compensation Range:

$23.66 - $37.86 per hour

The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position.

Requirements:

• At least two years of experience as a Medical Records Technician or Medical Coder.

Preferred:

• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred.
• Medical Coding Certification: Certified Coding Associate (CCA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based (CCS-P), and/or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification.
• Experience with EPIC preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Position Overview:

The Medical Records Data Quality Specialist is responsible for the accuracy of medical record documentation, including but not limited to billing review to assess appropriate capturing of charges based on medical record documentation, review of dictated and hand-written entries in medical record to assess for compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies, coordinating the CHA patient population discharge data program, coordinating payer audits, and assisting with medical record functions as necessary.
