Lower School Teaching Fellows Program

A two-year commitment starting in the 2025-26 academic year

Aspen Country Day School seeks applicants for a Teaching Fellowship in the Lower School. The school challenges and nurtures children as they build confidence, resilience, and joy in learning. Aspen Country Day School’s educational program balances academics, arts, and outdoor education. At its campus in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, the school welcomes approximately 300 students from throughout the Roaring Fork Valley for PreK to Eighth Grade. It is accredited by the Association of Colorado Independent Schools and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools.

The Teaching Fellowship at Aspen Country Day School is an intensive, full-time program that emphasizes the value of mentorship. Guided by the program director, fellows work with a team of two mentor teachers per grade level. The program is tailored to the fellow’s goals and to the school’s needs. Participants are immersed in the life of the school and are valued members of the Aspen Country Day School faculty and community. Each fellow is a member of the faculty and is expected to work towards developing the “attributes of a teacher,” listed below. This is a 10-month, paid position with full benefits. It is renewable for a second academic year following a successful first year. Housing support is available. Possible placements range from Kindergarten to Fifth Grade.
