Position Description:
The Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Program Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and sustainment of EHS programs, digital tools, and regulatory compliance/internal data reporting. In addition to managing the EHS Project Management Office (PMO), the EHS Program Manager will support distribution center and delivery / transportation-related operations and will partner with organizational leaders to drive continuous improvement.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and sustain execution of all core EHS programs including audits, inspections, training, and associated actions
Lead the implementation, development and continuous improvement of a digital safety management system (SaaS platform) to manage all aspects of EHS program management
Oversee all EHS data and reporting capabilities to support the EHS team, and other internal ATD stakeholders
Continuously monitor for upcoming regulatory changes and proactively implement program updates to maintain regulatory compliance
Manage EHS Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure all key initiatives align with strategic objectives, achieve key results, and remain on target
Own the development and sustainment of ATD’s enterprise digital compliance calendar to assure consistent execution of all EHS program activities
Lead process improvement/kaizen events to identify sustainable solutions to problems and incorporation into annual EHS program updates
Lead outside regulatory agency response process for agency interactions, notices of violations, or requests for information
Develop robust EHS prevention through design standards for incorporation into all new and retrofitted distribution centers

Experience(s) that Best Prepares You:
Bachelor’s degree in safety sciences or related discipline and minimum of 7 years industry experience in the field of safety and health management. Distribution Center/Warehousing
Industry credentialing such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
Functional technical experience with OSHA, DOT, EPA, NFPA, industry consensus standards, and applicable State/Local regulations in a distribution environment
Maintain an effective balance of technical writing and creativity / communication to create highly refined work products for nationwide facility use / implementation
Ability to effectively interact and communicate at all levels of the organization
Proficient with Microsoft Windows Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI
Experience administering digital EHS SaaS platforms

Physical demands:
Ability to sit, stand, walk for lengthy periods of time.
Ability to use a computer and peripherals (mouse, keypad, etc) for lengthy periods.
Ability to train / give instruction to large groups of people.
Travel required:
Scheduled - Approximately 20-30% via car / air throughout United States, with stayover
Unscheduled/Emergency – Infrequently / as needed to support Safety / emergency situations
