Yoga Instructor- BPC

Description

Asphalt Green, Battery Park City, is looking to hire warm and outgoing certified Yoga Instructors who possess the ability to connect with diverse class participants and are available to teach at various weekday and weekend times.

Instructors are expected to: 

· Have experience teaching yoga in a group setting.  

· Have experience integrating blocks, straps, and bolsters in a group class setting. 

· Continually offer feedback to class participants, always coach to the positive. 

· Demonstrate all movements properly. 

· Have a good movement toolbelt. Instructors should be able to spot movement flaws quickly and correct participants within 1-2 cues. 

· Have experience (or be comfortable) being mic’d up. 

· Understand that empathy for students brings success to the instructor and to the class.  

· Ability to lift and move class equipment.

· Ability to bend, balance, and perform upper and lower body poses.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a current recognized yoga certification. All candidates must have a valid CPR certification. We offer competitive rates and a positive, welcoming work environment.
