We are now accepting applications for Paver Operator. The purpose of this position is to safely and efficiently operate the machine that spreads and levels hot-mix bituminous paving material. Must have valid driver license and reliable transportation. This is a seasonal job April-November.

- Prior to every use, evaluate the equipment and confirm that the equipment from a mechanical and safety standpoint is ready to use.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required including fluid and filter changes and parts lubrication.
- Follow safety procedures and participate in weekly toolbox meetings with asphalt crew.
- Notify the maintenance department once a mechanical defect has been recognized.
- Observes job sites to prior to paving to recognize problematic areas and to map out the paving lane for maximized efficiency.
- Must attend required safety classes.
- Attend weekly Operational Training Classes.
- Operate the paving equipment facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
- Maintaining a clean and presentable work environment at all times.
- Follow the dress code and compliance of proper PPE at all times.
- Must be available to work on Saturday and Sunday
Asphalt Paver Operator Skills and Qualifications:
The position should have extensive knowledge of paving operations, equipment, quality control measures, and standard procedures. The position must have the ability to perform basic math skills and follow written and verbal instructions and relay them to the asphalt crew. Strong work ethic and willingness to work as a team to efficiently complete jobs to the highest customer satisfaction.
