What We Are Looking For :
Under the general direction of Lead Product Manager of Application, the Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will be an expert in defining, analyzing, and approving processes on the Policy Administration System (FAST). They will create system requirement tickets and coordinate with developers, testers, and business stakeholders to ensure work is completed across all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The Application Services team provides support for the Policy Administration platform and configurable systems such customer relationship management, data transport, and document creation services.
A successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion. They will have experience as a Business Systems Analyst, or similar role, within an IT function and demonstrable experience within the Insurance domain. Experience with Policy Administration, and Insurance products, especially Annuities, is highly desired. They will work cross-functionally with stakeholders across Aspida departments as well as with offshore development and QA. This role is located in our Durham, NC office and is required to be onsite 3 days a week.
What You Will Do :
- Become an expert on assigned system or area and communicate with end users.
- Lead discussions with cross-functional teams to develop system requirements and coordinate with other IT teams that integrate with assigned system(s).
- Assist with the policy administration system in any area, including but not limited to Product builds, Policy Administration, Claims, and financial data.
- Refine and document requirements, tracking them across development, testing, and deployment.
- Assist in functional testing of production systems to answer queries from end users.
- Create training materials (SOPs) and assist end users with new functionality.
- Drive project execution and proactively report on project progress, risks, and blockers.
- Perform detailed analysis of assigned system to investigate defects and enhancements.
- Create process flows and for business procedures and assess potential enhancements.
- Maintain high quality documentation for system updates.
- Liaison with third party vendors.
