What We Are Looking For
The Actuarial Hedging Analyst role will help bring an actuarial/technical perspective to the hedging function. This position is responsible for daily management of the hedging operation across the company. They will be involved in a variety of different types of hedges including FIA index options, FX, Interest Rate, and Spread Lending across both direct business and offshore reinsurance. The individual will help build a hedging monitoring framework, centralize the hedging function, and work with partners to execute trades. Key responsibilities will include hedge monitoring, liquidity analysis, variance analysis, and preparation of key reports. This role reports to Aspida’s Hedging Leader and is required to be onsite 3 days a week at our Durham, NC headquarters.

What You Will Do
- Continue to develop, implement, and create hedge monitoring solution for Aspida Life and centralize Aspida Re Cayman and Aspida Re Hedging functions.
- Help develop interest rate hedging and FX hedging functionality across the business.
- Create and enhance risk appetite, hedge management, and reporting frameworks to further improve hedge processing across Aspida’s growing business.
- Collaborate with actuaries, the finance team, asset managers, and M&A team to get a wide knowledge base of Aspida and the hedging function.
- Work closely with actuarial team to ensure accurate hedge costs are reflected.
- Help prepare for and assist with the monthly reporting.

Requirements
What We Require:
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related field
- 2-3 years experience in actuarial or hedging fields
- Working towards associateship of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, R, and other programming languages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across different business units
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
