Major Responsibilities : Respiratory Therapist (RT)
Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness / diseases and non-respiratory illness.Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.Complete a variety of bedside treatments.Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarterResponsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation.Attending applicable IDT meetings.Experience with tracheotomy.Experience is a long-term care settingFollow procedure and protocol of facility.Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management.Performs related duties as required.Described in the Departmental Policy and procedure Manual in these areas of skilled interventions, but not limited to :Oxygen weaning therapyOmniflow – Biofeed backGroup respiratory therapy.Standardized respiratory testing.Aerosol therapyAccuPAP therapyIncentive SpirometryChest physiotherapyDeep breathing and coughingBronchial hygiene therapyPEP therapyPostal DrainagePositioningOro / Naso-pharyngeal suctioningAirway clearance / management techniquesTrachea-bronchial suctioningTracheostomy careMechanical VentilatorSpirometry Bedside TestingCPAP / BIPAPHigh-Flow OxygenCHF programCardiac ProgramPulmonary ProgramCardio-pulmonary resuscitationQUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS : Respiratory Therapist (RT)
Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.We're an equal opportunity employer.
