What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Consultant position at Aspire Behavior Consulting, LLC?
Primary Job Functions:
- Implement behavior modification programs with Residential facilities, various other programs.
- Attend and participate in treatment/behavior management team meetings with staff.
- Ability to consult with stakeholders and staff regarding behavior modification.
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients verbally and in written correspondence within a timely manner.
- Supervise, observe, and participate in providing needed services.
- Ability to serve as a primary support person to staff.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle emotionally charged situations and cultural diversity.
- Create and manage weekly schedules to fulfill client’s/agency’s needs
- Ability to train others to apply effective ABA techniques.
- Collect information about clients through meetings with staff and observations with staff at client’s home.
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment, as well as HIPAA standards.
- Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment plan.
- Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
- Attend weekly/monthly meetings with Director.
- Attend clinics and company trainings.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must possess thorough knowledge of ABA principles and are able to apply principles to achieve client’s goals.
- Continually assess client’s progress and make clinical recommendations for ongoing progress.
- Collaborate with professionals regarding the clients programs
- Required to understand the characteristics of a wide range of intellectual disabilities.
- Basic knowledge of programming development and implementation with Replacement Behaviors
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education or closely related field.
- A minimum of two years of related experience:
- Monitoring and observing behavior
- Collecting and recording behavioral observations in a treatment setting
- Developing and implementing behavior management plans and assisting with the administration.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
