What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician position at Aspire Behavioral?
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized treatment plans for children with special needs, focusing on behavior management and skill development.
- Provide direct behavioral therapy services to clients in various settings, such as homes, schools, or clinics.
- Collect and analyze data on client progress and behavior to inform treatment decisions.
- Collaborate with a team of professionals, including parents, teachers, and therapists, to ensure consistent and effective interventions.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of need and develop appropriate goals.
- Teach and reinforce appropriate social skills, communication skills, and daily living skills.
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and techniques to promote positive behavior change.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques and principles is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients and their families.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with individuals with special needs.
