Job Opportunity: Lead Caregiver

Reports to: Administrator
Status: Hourly ($18/hr)

Aspire Caregiving is looking for a dedicated and flexible Female Lead Caregiver to join our team! This is a vital role that requires strong leadership, caregiving expertise, and the ability to assist with training and client care coordination.

Position Summary:

The Lead Caregiver is responsible for all caregiving duties outlined in Caregiver Job Description Levels 1-4. Additionally, they will assist Care Advocates with training caregivers, client follow-ups, and occasional office duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • On-call 24/5: Must be available 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, including overnight and weekends.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 8 hours per day, contingent on accepting all assigned shifts within the 5-day period.
  • Rapid Response: Must answer or return calls within 30 minutes and be ready to start a visit within 30 minutes of notification.
  • Delegation Responsibilities: Lead caregivers will be assigned delegation tasks by the nurse.
  • Transportation Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance and be able to transport clients when needed.
  • Open Availability: Must be available for all shifts, including overnights and weekends.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to assist in office work and support Care Advocates as needed.

Job Duties:Caregiving Responsibilities (Levels 1-4):

  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Assist with errands, housekeeping, meal preparation, and personal care.
  • Support clients with ambulation, transfers, and medication administration.
  • Experience with dementia, Parkinson’s, hospice care, and complex medical needs.
  • Perform specialized care tasks such as Hoyer lift transfers and external catheter care.

Care Advocate Assistance:

  • Train and mentor caregivers.
  • Conduct client visits and assessments (7-day, 30-day, 90-day follow-ups).
  • Ensure documentation and service plans are up to date in WellSky.
  • Communicate with Care Advocates about caregiver and client needs.

Office Duties:

  • Answer phones and assist with scheduling concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness of office spaces.
  • Handle administrative tasks as assigned by management.
