Position Overview:
The Community Outreach Specialist (COS) for the Aspire Day Program in Lexington, KY, plays a key role in enhancing community presence and engagement. This role focuses on increasing awareness of Aspire’s psycho-educational services, individual therapy, and family/guardian therapy for youth ages 5-17. The COS will work to establish partnerships with local boards, coalitions, schools, and community organizations while bridging gaps in care to make Aspire’s programs accessible to communities in need.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Community Engagement (100%)
· Establish at least 5 new organizations monthly that submit referrals or express direct interest in referring clients to Aspire. These interactions and commitments must be documented in the KPI tracking software.
· Build and nurture relationships with local boards, coalitions, schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations to consistently grow Aspire’s network of referral sources.
· Conduct at least 10 in-person presentations per month tailored to community stakeholders, sharing more information on Aspire’s services for youth ages 5-17.
· Attend a minimum of 4 resource fairs or community events monthly to enhance Aspire’s visibility and attract new referral opportunities.
· Ensure follow-up with 100% of new and existing partners within 14 days of engagement, documenting updates in the KPI tracking system.
Referral Generation and Metrics:
· Secure a minimum of 30 referrals per month from community partners, with a target conversion rate of 70%, ensuring referrals result in program admissions.
· Document and track all referral activities, including partner details, referral dates, outcomes, and conversion rates, using the KPI tracking software.
· Provide weekly updates and monthly reports on referral outcomes, partner engagement, and progress toward meeting referral and conversion goals.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
· Community Presentations: Conduct a minimum of 8 presentations per month.
· New Partnerships: Establish at least 5 new referral partnerships per month.
· Referrals Generated: Secure a minimum of 30 client referrals monthly.
· Follow-ups: Ensure 90% follow-up rate with community partners contacted within 30 days.
· Event Representation: Attend at least 6 community events or resource fairs monthly.
· Reporting Accuracy: Maintain a 95% on-time submission rate for weekly reports via KPI tracking software.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in social work, communications, marketing, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
· 2 years of experience in community engagement, outreach, or a related role.
· Knowledge of child and adolescent behavioral health services is highly preferred.
· Strong communication and public speaking skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage a flexible, field-based schedule.
· Experience with relationship building, networking, and presenting to diverse stakeholders.
· Familiarity with outreach tracking tools and content development is an added advantage.
