Patient Transport Driver/Housekeeper
Shift Time: 1pm-9pm Full-time
32-40 hours per week
Aspire Afterschool Therapeutic Program is looking for an enthusiastic Patient Transport Driver/Housekeeper to join our family! We are a fast-growing, community-loved Therapeutic Treatment Center looking for a full-time Patient Transport Driver/Housekeeper to support our Aspire Afterschool Therapeutic Program and to join our team to transport our kiddos to and from the treatment need of the excellent behavioral health services that we provide. The Aspire Afterschool Therapeutic Program Driver/Housekeeper interacts daily with children and serves as their trusted transportation to and from school. As such, the Patient Transport Driver/Housekeeper should be free of any traffic or criminal violations and should have an authoritative, yet calming demeanor and a strong understanding of traffic laws. Duties and responsibilities of the Driver position may include the following:
- Transport children and other passengers to and from the Aspire Afterschool Therapeutic Program
- Obey all traffic laws
- Maintain a clean and mechanically sound van at all times
- Ensure the safety of all students
- Verify permissions for children who ride home with friends
- Assist students with getting on and off the van as needed
- Discipline children as needed to maintain a safe environment
- Perform inspections of the van before and after each route
- Attend safety meetings as required
- Make sure the bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized daily.
- Empty the trash from the main trash receptacle areas daily, or as needed.
- Make sure the kitchen area and all exposed food is either tossed or stored and refrigerated.
- Vacuum the common areas as needed.
- Sanitize the kids' sitting and play areas daily. This includes the T.V. remotes and the game controllers.
- Wipe down the eating areas after dinner and make sure the floors are swept in those areas.
- Clean the windows, especially the front entrance, as needed.
Shift Time: 1pm-9pm Full-time
32-40 hours per week
Requirements:
- Must be age 21 or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- One or more years of experience
- Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last five years
- Two or more years of experience working with children preferred
- Ability to carry out assigned route on time
